In 1870, a little band of nine “pilgrims’ determined a need for a Congregational Church to be a witness for Christ in Ludington. Four years later the little church split into two congregations and now there was also a Presbyterian Church in Ludington. In 1881 the Congregational Church burned down. They rebuilt on the same spot, and that church building is our present sanctuary.

In 1924 the two congregations united to form the Community Church, which continues to this day. God blessed us abundantly in the first hundred years, and it is our privilege to work together for Christ in this second century.
